Qualification and Testing

Qualification

The Seismic and Environmental qualification of equipment we provide is performed by analysis, test and/ or a combination of analysis and test. We also maintain an extensive data base of previously qualified components whose qualification range typically envelopes most applications.

Our qualifications methods are in accordance with the requirements of:

  • ASME QME-1, Qualification of Active Mechanical Equipment
  • IEEE 344, Recommended Practice for Seismic Qualification of Class 1E Equipment for Nuclear Power Generating Stations
  • IEEE 334, Standard for Qualifying Continuous Duty Class 1E Motors for Nuclear Power Generating Stations
  • IEEE 323, Standard for Qualifying Class 1E Equipment for Nuclear Power Generating Stations
  • IEEE 383, IEEE Standards for Qualifying Class 1E Electric Cables and Field Splices for Nuclear Power Generating Stations
  • IEEE 1012, Standard for Software Verification and Validation
  • IEEE 7-4.3.2, Standard Criteria for Digital Computers in Safety Systems of Nuclear power Generating Stations
  • IEEE 603, Standard Criteria for Safety Systems for Nuclear Power Generating Systems
